12:06a - Meaningless Statistics?
Well, I just realized something: As of today I have posted every day for two weeks. In fact, thus far I've only missed on day this december. Yesterday was the first time I've EVER posted 5 times in one day.

Today's word is: Sublimation. Can you say that with me kids?

I knew you could.

Updated: src posted this comment to one of the posts that started this series. I found some comfort there, as hokey as some might find it.

Blessed Be, y'all.

1:39p - As Stolen From amara_m
The American Family Association has decided to try and "prove a point" by having a poll on their website for folks to take about their opinion on gay marriage. They intend to present the results of this poll to the United States Congress in an attempt to instate a federal law against Gay Marriage.

It's obvious that they think that this poll will come out in their favor, and that the vast majority of people will vote to keep marriage for traditional couples only. However, this is LiveJournal, and we are FAR from traditional!

I ask you all to please visit http://www.afa.net/petitions/marriagepoll.asp and let your opinion be heard. It takes about 45 seconds, and it is SUCH an important topic. Whether you are gay or straight, conservative or liberal, your opinion matters, and you NEED to vote here.

2:39p - Private Space Flight Progress...
So, I've always been fascinated by that whole "final frontier" thing. You know, the ever expanding circle that space flight could give us. A way of cutting loose from tyranny, freeing ourselves from systems that oppress us, yada yada.

So I've been following the exploits of Burt Rutan (the mad man who designs some of the coolest looking planes in the world) as he tries to become the first private company to design, build, and fly the first orbital vehicle, and today (the hundredth anniversary of the Wright Bros. first flight), he's reached an amazing milestone:

The First Privately Funded Supersonic Flight

At this rate he'll be touching space inside of a year. Whoa.
