Solstice Wishes...

I keep hearing that forgiveness... forgiving those who trespass against us, as the prayer goes... is more for the forgiver than the forgiven.

I generally don't hold grudges. In many cases, I am the one who, rightly or wrongly, is expected to apologize. But over the last decade or so I've still managed to collect a list of people that I still bear some anger toward, particularly the ones that appeared more socially clueless than ME.

That's saying something.

Tonight is the solstice vigil. At dawn, it's a new beginning. New Year's eve is the new moon... an auspicious start to 2014.

I need to start forgiving and letting go of even that simmering anger, a caustic substance slowly simmering my soul. And, through forgiveness, I am ready.

Ready for the good that fills your life if you allow it to be.

So mote it be.
