Taking Victory Where I Can Find It

So, after I finished kvetching at ambar last night, I noticed a remarkable thing: I felt better.

For one thing, I remembered some of my own advice, often given to people who didn't appreciate it's Zen like simplicity -- if you don't like the way things are, change them. Of course, the most common response to that was "It's not that simple".

Well, actually, it is. But it also is pretty hard to do as well. I always knew that this was a conundrum, and would freely admit it even before I shoved it back into my own face.

Today I was determined to focus my energies on learning Dreamweaver, learning how to properly handle the world of SSH, doing some writing and various bits of research. I not only did all of that, but I also remembered to eat, do the laundry (only one load? Damn, it always seems so much more!) including the folding and putting away part, and answer my mail. Oh, and I FINALLY got around to downloading some of my old journal entries, checked out the new LJ beta site, worked on learning the custom style sheets more, and... well, updated my LJ.

This may seem like a lot, but for me... well, it isn't I'm used to doing a LOT more in a day, something that I think I'm going to concentrate on slowly ramping back up to.

This doesn't mean I'm not going to go to Shasta. Far from it: I definitely have to get my butt up there, preferably before Roni and I do a road trip down to LA for a BBW Fetish Ball that is apparently planned down there in April. steelmagnoliaca is coaxing us down, tempting me with a chance to perform fellatio on this lovely large boy, something that Roni's been wanting to see for quite some time.

Okay, I have to run... I just got word that my freaking cell phone has been disconnected! I'll have to get on it ASAP.
